COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
What treatment options may be considered for lung cancer?
Options depend on the pathology type, stage, molecular findings and your general health. Review may cover surgery assessment, precision radiotherapy including CyberKnife for selected lesions, and coordination of targeted or immunotherapy where molecular results support it. The team explains which options apply in your case after reviewing complete records.
Why is molecular testing important in lung cancer?
Certain driver alterations, such as EGFR or ALK changes, can influence which systemic treatments are considered. If molecular testing has not been done, or the report is incomplete, the reviewing team may recommend further testing before discussing a plan.
Which records should I send for a lung cancer review?
Send pathology and molecular testing results, recent chest imaging and PET/CT reports with original image files, brain imaging when clinically relevant, records of previous surgery, radiotherapy or systemic treatment, and a summary of respiratory function, general health and current symptoms.
Can CyberKnife treat lung tumours?
CyberKnife may be considered for selected localised lung lesions, including some patients who cannot or do not wish to undergo surgery. The M6 system tracks breathing motion in real time. Suitability depends on lesion size, location and previous treatment, and is decided only after specialist review.
How much does lung cancer treatment cost in China?
Fees depend on the treatment plan, including imaging, the treatment approach and any combined systemic therapy. After a free initial record check, the hospital provides an itemised written estimate before you make any travel decision. No payment is requested before you accept the plan.
Are treatment results guaranteed?
No. Outcomes vary by diagnosis, stage and individual condition, and no result can be promised in advance. If treatment here is not appropriate, the team will explain the alternatives they assessed, or say honestly if treatment here is not recommended.
